I wonder what’s wrong with Myanmar authorities. Thousands of people have been killed after nasty storm hit Burma’s delta area. Millions of people are in devastating situation. The whole world’s human community has been trying to help cyclone victims in Burma. But Myanmar government is restricting UN and foreign aids, risking more and more people’s lives while it is not able to cope itself. The situation has changed from natural disaster to man-made disaster, the majority believes. Recently, Burma’s prime minister announced that reconstruction is to be started soon as rescue works have been done well. Why did he say like that while people in delta area are still drinking river water in which dead bodies are floating? We all can see those pictures taken

A man sits in his house which was destroyed by cyclone Nargis, in Bogalay, southwest of Yangon May 8, 2008. Survivors with harrowing tales of villages smashed by cyclone Nargis are paddling wooden boats to the Myanmar town of Bogalay to find whole streets destroyed and food and water scarce. Almost no aid has reached one of the hardest-hit towns in the Irrawaddy delta of around 50,000 inhabitants, where the storm tore rice mills apart and washed away fishing boats.
